Bihang Paediatric Development Centre was built on a simple conviction: with the right support, delivered with warmth and expertise, every child can soar. Here's the story, the people and the philosophy behind our Electronic City clinic.
Dr. Ipsita Behera founded Bihang Paediatric Development Centre after more than a decade of clinical practice as a senior occupational therapist working with children with developmental disabilities. Her career has been shaped by one recurring observation: families rarely need just a therapist - they need a guide who can translate clinical progress into everyday wins at home and school.
That philosophy shaped Bihang PDC from day one. Rather than running isolated therapy sessions, Dr. Behera built a centre where occupational therapy, oral placement therapy, speech-language therapy and behavioural therapy are planned together - so a child's progress in one domain reinforces progress in another.
Today, she leads the clinical team at Bihang PDC, overseeing assessments, supervising individualised therapy plans and working directly with families to make sure therapy translates into real, everyday independence.
Bihang PDC is co-founded by Mr. Pratap Behera, a serial entrepreneur and alumnus of IIM Lucknow and NIT Trichy. Together with Dr. Ipsita Behera, he brings more than two decades of combined experience across clinical and business functions to the centre.
Pratap leads the business, operations and infrastructure side of Bihang PDC - building the systems, partnerships and world-class facilities that let the clinical team focus entirely on delivering the best possible therapy outcomes for every child.
To help every child we work with build the functional, communication and behavioural skills they need to participate fully at home, in school and in their community - through evidence-based, individualised, play-driven therapy.
A Bengaluru where every child with a developmental, sensory, speech or behavioural need has timely access to compassionate, multidisciplinary care - regardless of how complex the journey looks at the start.
Child-led play, clinical rigour, radical honesty with parents, and collaboration over silos. We measure success not in sessions completed, but in real skills gained.
Children rarely present with a single, isolated challenge - a motor delay can affect confidence, a feeding difficulty can affect speech clarity, sensory overload can affect behaviour. That's why our therapists don't work in silos.
Designed to feel nothing like a hospital - bright, sensory-considerate rooms where children feel safe enough to try, fail and try again.
